Stewart Golf Charity Day 2023
September saw the return of the Stewart Golf Classic, in aid of Action For A-T. Players from the world of sport, entertainment, loyal Stewart Golf customers and even some of our own team braved the unseasonably wet weather - in classic British fashion - all for a fantastic cause. All-in-all, despite the sodden conditions, it was a great day of golf and together we raised a fantastic £21,000 for the children and families impacted by Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T).

About Action For A-T
Action For A-T have been Stewart Golf's nominated charity for the past 24 months. During this time Stewart have hosted two golf days, at Bearwood Lakes in '22 and The Oxfordshire last month. Members of the Stewart team have also got involved during their personal time, taking on challenges such as Ride 100 London and The Great North Run.
The charity was established in 2012 to provide support for the wider A-T community and speed up the process of identifying a cure or treatments that delay or prevent the disabling effects of Ataxia Telangiectasia (AT).
A-T is an extremely complex condition that affects a variety of different systems in the body. Research into A-T can also give insights into more common conditions like cancer, compromised immune system, lung conditions and health generally.
For many people living with a rare condition such as A-T, sustainable, high quality medical research offers hope for the future. Hope that there will be something that will change the difficulties they face in every day life. Hope that the prognosis may be improved, and hope that increased interest in A-T will lead to greater understanding of not only this disease but others too.
