A true icon of English rugby, Sir Clive Woodward was of course the head coach of the squad that won the World Cup in Australia in 2003. His passion for competition doesn't stop at rugby; he was also Director of Sports for team GB throughout the Beijing and London Olympics. Outside of sports, Sir Clive is also known as a business minded individual having started Hive Learning and being highly involved in the Apex 2100 project.
We invited this sporting legend to our Gloucestershire headquarters for a factory tour and to meet the dedicated team who build our great machines.
Sir Clive's impressions of the X9 Follow
"It's the versatility that I really like."
"When you have your own caddy you can concentrate far more and get your yardages right. It's the nearest thing to having your own caddy."
"I have a caddy whenever I can in terms of playing in big Pro-Ams or tournaments but 99% of my golf I'm with my friends at my golf club where its just good to have that trolley because it is like a caddy. You can genuinely walk along and chat but also concentrate on your golf. "
Sir Clive visited Stewart Golf headquarters to see the X9 being hand built.
Sir Clive came to our old Cotswold based factory for a tour with our CEO and Managing Director. He was granted special access to see the X9 Follow being assembled by our technicians but also met the whole office staff.
"It's just great to see the whole thing manufactured here, its a genuinely British manufactured product"
"I will look at my trolley in a new way when I get home and think wow, it is made here in Gloucestershire."
