Does what it says on the tin - build quality isn’t amazing/looks and feels quite cheap in places (sharp plastic etc) hence the 4/5 rating…
But it follows and looks good from a distance
Thank you for leaving a review, it's fantastic to hear the Q Follow is performing well and turning heads on the course. We take build quality seriously and put a great deal of care into the materials and construction of each trolley but we understand that impressions can differ, and we welcome constructive feedback.
Looks great. Have just about got the hang of if (watching the instructional video did help) and very pleased so far. Most useful thing about it is “calling” it up when you hit to walk back 20 yards when your ball is in the rough and you thought you were further down. But so nice to walk down fairways with the trolley following, hands free to drink your coffee. I have the 36 hole battery and it does do 36 around Woburn. But only just so I do charge after each round.
Thanks so much for the great feedback! We're glad the instructional video helped and even happier to hear you're enjoying the freedom of hands-free walking.
Delivery was perfect, everything arrived in good order.
Trolley looks amazing and works exactly as expected though I need to work on controlling it a little better!
This would likely have been five stars had it not been for the smart app for the battery.
Basically the app isn’t ready it’s not working for me.
Thank you for your review. At this time, the app is available for Apple (iOS) users through our beta testing program. This means that while the core features are accessible, the app is still undergoing testing and refinement based on user feedback. We’re working hard to ensure it delivers the best possible experience and appreciate the continued support and insights from our early users.
Android users, we understand the anticipation and are actively developing the Android version of the app. While it is not yet available, our development team is making steady progress, and we’re optimistic about sharing positive updates soon. We truly value your patience as we continue to improve and expand access to the Battery App across platforms.
Have already driven the trolley into a bunker. You should always watch the trolley in remote mode!😁. Very impressed with the build quality of the Q follow and it has drawn a lot of attention from my fellow players
Lol, yes: always be aware! We've all done it though...
I’ve only used mine for a couple of rounds but already love it. It’s nice to be hands free when walking and great to be able to send it off to the next tee or to your ball when helping another player look for theirs.
Easy to use and set up and very stable.
Took less than 48 hours to arrive after ordering.
A great bit of kit.
We love that you love it.

FAQ'S
Frequently Asked Questions
Differences
What is the difference between a Carbon Edition & Black Edition Q Follow?
In terms of features and performance, there is no difference. The difference comes with the look of the Q Follow. The Black Edition showcases matte black wheel arches, handle plaque, rear spine and undertray while the Carbon Edition has these same parts in a carbon finish.
What is the difference between a Q Follow & X10 Follow?
The Q Follow is built on a totally new chassis which has several design features. The most significant is the folded size, which means the Q is 40% smaller volume when folded and has a 65% smaller footprint thanks to its ability to stand vertically.
The Q can be lifted with one hand thanks to the central lifting handle.
The chassis also has an stabiliser that deploys automatically when unfolded, which improves performance on hilly courses.
The Q is supplied with a SmartPower battery as standard, which links to a free smartphone app by Bluetooth to allow you to monitor battery power exactly. Other differences include 4 accessory points, higher umbrella holder mount, handset storage, bag key, silicone top strap & soft touch handle.
Technical
How does the Follow system work?
Mounted just inside each rear wheel, two red follow antennas work together to create two zones around the Q Follow; a neutral zone and an active zone.
When the handset is inside the neutral zone (approximately 1m from the trolley), the Q Follow will remain stationary. As the handset enters the active zone (1-3m away), the Q Follow's electronics system will automatically & independently alter the speed of each rear motor to keep its pace. When the golfer (and therefore the handset) come to a stop, the Q Follow will continue until the handset is back inside the neutral zone when it will also stop. The effect is that of digital elastic band, which stretches and contracts as you walk.
Can I set walking speeds?
Yes. You are able to program your own walking speeds in to the numbered buttons on the handset.
Can I use the Q Follow without the handset?
The Q Follow can only be operated via the handset (unless the wheels are in freewheel).
Can I use my own bag or do I need a Stewart Golf one?
The latest 2020 Stewart Golf StaffPro and SuperSport bags have a key in their bases that prevents any twist of the bag when in use, but any cart or tour bag can be used. Lightweight or stand bags are not recommended.
The Q Follow is optimised for use with golf bags weighing 14kg. Using a 'top heavy' stand bag reduces the load on the front wheels, which means the steering may react faster than intended, and a heavier bag will slow steering, increase battery consumption and wear on key components.
How heavy is the Q?
The Q weighs 14.1kg (31lbs) + 2.5kg (6.6lbs) for the Base battery
What size is the Q when folded?
The Q’s dimensions are as follows: H 21in 540mm / W 23.6in 600mm / D 12.6in 320mm
How stable is the Q on a hilly course?
The Q Follow has been designed with stability in mind, providing supreme natural balance. Coupled with the retractable stabiliser to the rear, the Q can navigate hilly courses with ease. The trolley may tip onto its rear stabiliser wheels, but if this happens don’t worry as this is what it is designed to do.
Will it run me over going downhill?
When in Follow mode, the Q Follow has downhill braking, meaning it will always remain a safe distance behind you when going down hills. However, if the ground is wet, the trolley may skid when braking downhill, so for this scenario we recommend using the Remote mode of operation when going downhill. If you are playing a shot when on a hill, we recommend parking your trolley sideways to prevent the trolley from gradually moving.
What is the distance range of the trolley?
The Q Follow has a maximum range of 50m from the handset.
Battery
How long will the battery last?
The Q Follow is available with a Max capacity of 307 watt-hours of power. With the average 18-hole round of golf consuming 135 watt-hours.
Every Q Follow is supplied with a SmartPower battery, which connects to a free smartphone app. The app provides real time data on many aspects of the battery, but most importantly will tell you exactly how much capacity you have remaining. You will soon get to know how much you use on various courses and how consumption changes with conditions.
A hole of golf can be anything between 100 and 700 yards long, so is not a reliable unit of measurement, especially when you take the distance between green and tee in to account too. Terrain, ground condition, bag weight, and a number of other factors can make a big difference. Imagine running along a flat concrete road as opposed to up a steep sand dune & you'll get the idea.
The quality of the golf also affects how far you walk. A golfer shooting 65 will walk a lot less than a golfer shooting 110 and zig-zagging up the fairways! This scenario would also see the steering being used more, which also consumes more power.
How often do I need to charge my battery?
We advise charging your battery after every round to ensure it has enough charge for your next round. The SmartPower battery can also be monitored via our Stewart Golf app, meaning you can always stay on top of your battery charge.
How often do I need to charge my handset?
We advise charging your handset after every round to ensure it has enough charge to last a full round. Typically, one full charge should last 2-3 rounds of golf.
Do I have to remove the SmartPower battery to charge it?
Yes. The connections are concealed on the underside of the battery, so are not exposed when in place.
What happens if the battery dies mid-round?
If your trolley battery or handset battery dies mid-round, you can place the rear wheels into freewheel mode, allowing you to push the trolley for the rest of the way around the course.
When will I know that the battery is ready to use?
The battery is fully charged when the green light on the charger is visible. Alternatively, you can check the SmartPower battery app on your phone to see the real-time state of charge.
Can I play more than 18/36 holes in a day?
The average round of golf will consume 135 watt-hours of power from your Q Follow. However, it’s difficult to predict the length of a round because each course and player is different. After a few rounds and checking the app, you will get a good indication of the maximum amount of holes the trolley can complete at your course.
How long does the battery take to recharge?
This depends on how much charge the battery has left when you place it on charge. A full battery charge cycle takes approximately six hours.
Cleaning & Use
How do I clean it?
After your round, clear grass, leaves and dust etc from the machine using a soft cloth/brush or compressed air. Clean your Q Follow using standard furniture polish and a soft cloth.
Can the Q Follow cope on hills?
Yes. The Q Follow chassis has been designed with stability in mind. The machine may tip onto the rear stabiliser wheels, but if this happens don’t worry as that’s what they are designed to do.
Bag weight and weight distribution makes a big difference here, a light and/or top heavy bag will not put enough weight on the front wheels and therefore it may tip easily. You will find out which hills work with your particular setup through experience.
Is the Q Follow OK to use in the rain?
Yes. The Q Follow is designed for use in all conditions appropriate for golf. The design of the Q Follow protects the major components from rain, so water ingress cannot occur during normal use. You should avoid any situation where moisture or water could reach the electronics or motors. Some examples of this are:
- Driving through puddles or standing water.
- Submerging the machine in a river or lake.
- Faults caused by water ingress will not be covered under the warranty.
